This citrus-like scent bush is a versatile herb that you can use lemongrass in culinary, aromatherapy, and tea. In the Caribbeans, lemongrass is called Fevergrass. Hence the name, the herb can calm a fever in children and adults. The oils in lemongrass help fight the common colds and ease coughs. Drinking lemongrass tea as a daily routine has shown that it can slow down the spread of diseased cells.
In Jamaica, one of the ways they enjoy drinking lemongrass tea is by adding spice to the drink. Usually, ginger, cinnamon, and milk are added to the tea. You have the option to select either plain lemongrass or spiced lemongrass (ginger root + cinnamon bark).
The lemongrass is home harvested in Central Florida! We have a limited quantity to sell, but because lemongrass is so loyal, we get regrowth every few months.
I n s t r u c t i o n s :
For 1 serving add 1 Tbsp of herbs in 16 ounces of water.
Pour water into a pot with 1 Tbsp of herbs. When water is at a boil, turn heat off and set aside. Allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain with a colander. Add plant based milk to give the drink a creamy taste! Give thanks and enjoy.
